At CCI, we strive to maintain an active role in the community. In 2007 we adopted a family for Thanksgiving and Christmas with our very own “Santa Claus,” Shane Burgess, project manager, delivering the gifts to the family. For the past four years CCI has been a proud sponsor of the Hospice of Anchorage Heroes of Healthcare event that honors several healthcare professionals for their community and global volunteerism. The event also provides almost 25 percent of Hospice of Anchorage’s financial support for their services of providing Alaskans with end-of-life care and to help the community cope with loss and grief. CCI has also supported the Alaska Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired for the past two years through $15,000 donations. Other organizations that CCI actively supports are: Alaska Veterans Foundation, BBNC Education Foundation, Fraternal Order of Alaska State Troopers, The Bird Treatment and Learning Center and United Way.

Sept. 17, 2008 will mark one year without a recordable incident for CCI’s North Slope operations. This has been accomplished by our entire workforce of 105 people, including over 30% BBNC shareholders and Alaska Natives. Last year’s recordable rate for the North Slope was 3.04 based upon 267,000+ man-hours. This represents a dramatic turnaround in safety performance, client satisfaction, and ensures a bright future for CCI. Hats off to the workers!
